During the last 50 years the dramatic decline of farming activities in Uruguay together with the increasing concentration of the working population in the cities resulted in the total devastation of Bars and Groceries ones center of social and cultural life of the countryside. However, owners of this bars still manage to keep them open. These Bars are survivors from another time.
