Ipek's favorite photographer

Ara Guler is a photojournalist, mainly known with his black and white pictures. Most of his work is from 1950s and 60s Istanbul.

He does not accept the title of being an artist. For him photography is not an art it is part of reality.

He is my favorite because his photos are most of the time focusing on social issues such as poverty, inequality, gender etc.

I think his photos are very powerful.
