Favorite Photographer:
I don't know much about photography, or specific photographers, and therefore don't really feel like I have a favorite. I recently saw and really loved the Richard Avedon exhibit at the SF MOMA, however. His pictures obviously do not fall under the definition of urban photography, but they are portraits.
